Mountaineering & Hiking winter tours Julian Alps (1 + day)

There are innumerable possibilities for hiking winter tours in the Soča Valley, which is part of the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Fairytale valleys, snowy plains, white meadows and forest trails are almost every step of the way. You will be amazed by the magical Trenta, the idyllic Log pod Mangartom and the unique Sentvis plateau.

Numerous peaks higher than 2000m rise above the Soča Valley, which are suitable for winter mountaineering, snowshoeing or touring skiing.

Through the forests of Sorica or Pokljuka

Fun for every age

Snowshoeing is suitable for everyone, even the youngest. We invite you and your family to go on a guided day or night snowshoeing and enjoy a fun snow walk for 2-4 hours. Seniors can also join the hike, as you can learn skills quickly while walking will not put a dangerous strain on your joints.

POSSIBLE PROGRAM

1 Option: Lepena Valley – Krn Lakes. By prior arrangement, I will come looking for your hotel and take you to the Lepena Valley (700 m), where our start for Krn Lakes (1391 m). Walking for 4 – 5 hours. Altitude differences for around 690 m.

2 Option: Mt. Krn – Planina Kuhinja. We will still walk the trails around Mt. Krn. At the end of the tour, we descend to the Planina Kuhinja. We spend the night on planina Kuhinja in a beautiful mountain farmhouse, where we have reserved half board.

3 Option: Vršič pass (1611m) – Slemenova Špica (1911) – Vršič pas

The trail starts a few meters away from our mountain hut. Walk up to the Vratca saddle and continue under the north face of Mala Mostrovka to Slemenova Spica peak. From the Slemenova špica Mountain there are fantastic clearings to the Tamar Valley, Slovenian, Italian and Austrian Alps. After a short stop at Slemenova Špica, we descend again on our way to our mountain hut.

4 Options: Tamar Valley (1050) – Kotovo sedlo (2134m) – Tamar valley 

The starting point in the Tamar Valley (near Kranjska Gora) is a 20 minute drive. The path leads us From the Tamar valley past the mountain hut Dom v Tamarju and further down the valley to Kottovega sedla. There are many waterfalls in the Tamar Valley in the winter glass. At the end of the valley, the mighty Jalovec Mountain, 2645 m above sea level, rises to the sky

Price includes: Guiding fee, rental of personal technical equipment (snowsnoes, poles.)

The price include: Transportation to Bled, Ljubljana, etc. and from Bled to Ljubjlana, etc. is included in the price.
