This mountaineering adventure will take you to the most beautiful part of the Julian Alps and the Dolomites. The start of the trek is supposed to be in Slovenia (Julian Alps), but it can be started in Italy (Dolomites) by prior arrangement.
In the first two days we will visit the area around Mt. Krn (2244 m) and the Krn lakes, the largest lake in the Julian Alps.
The Julian Alps (Italian: Alpi Giulie) are the most extensive and highest mountain group in Slovenia. They are in the southern-eastern part of the Alps and are part of the Southern Limestone Alps. They cover an area of about 4400 km² (mostly in Slovenia, smaller part of them are also in Italy). The Alps lie in the area between the Sava Valley and the Kanalska Valley.
Much of the July Alps are covered by the Triglav National Park (TNP), which is the only national park in Slovenia. It measures 83,982 hectares . TNP lies in the area of northwestern Slovenia. The nature in the park is really beautiful and mostly unspoiled. The park boasts beautiful rivers, valleys, plateaus and peaks in excess of 2000 m. With its 2864 m, Triglav is the highest mountain in the entire mountain range of the TNP, the Julian Alps and Slovenia.

The third and fourth day will be exploring the Dolomites (Italy). We will make a circle around Tre Cime and Monte Paterno and go for a stroll along the Dolomite Trails and the Meadows.
The Dolomites are mountain range in northern Italy in the countries of South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno and extend from the Adige River in the west to the Piave Valley (Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are the Pusteria valley and Val Sugana
For many, the Dolomites are the most beautiful mountain range in Europe and are also listed as a UNESCO protected natural heritage site. There are many wonderful places and peaks, with the most famous peaks in the Dolomites being Tre Cime (Italian), Austrian (Drei Zinnen).
