Včeraj 14.12.2017 je bil v Planinskem muzeju v Mojstrani ustanovitveni zbor ZDRUŽENJA PLANINSKIH VODNIKOV SLOVENIJE (ZPVS). Ustanovitveni člani združenja so Klemen Volontar, Alenka Lužnik, Matej Jeram in Dean Strosar. Ustanovitelji so vsi International Moutain Leaders (IML) z mednarodno UIMLA licenco. Izobraževanje za IMLs UIMLA so vsi opravili v tujini. Prevod imena IMLs v Slovenščino je, mednarodni planinski vodnik s UIMLA licenco. Združenje je v Sloveniji bilo ustanovljeno z namenom, da v Slovenski prostor pripelje organizacijo Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA). Slovenija še ni članica UIMLA mednarodne krovne organizacije, ki je poleg IFMGA edina pristojna za izdajanje profesionalnih licenc, ki so veljavne v Evropi in večini držav sveta. Ustanovitvenega zbora sta se udeležila tudi g. Bogdan Janša (Podžupan Kranjska Gora) in predsednik Združenja gorskih vodnikov Slovenije Mitja Šorn. Oba udeleženca sta pozdravila ustanovitev združenja in izrazila njihovo podporo pri nadal nem delu združenja planinskih vodnikov Slovenije .

ASSOCIATION OF MOUTAIN LEADERS OF SLOVINIA (AMLS) – ZDRUŽENJE PLANINSKIH VODNIKOV SLOVENIJE (ZPVS)
Yesterday, on 14.12.2017, the founding assembly of the ASSOCIATION OF MOUTAIN LEADERS OF SLOVINIA (AMLS) was held at the Mountaineering Museum in Mojstrana. The founding members of the association are Klemen Volontar, Alenka Lužnik, Matej Jeram and Dean Strosar. The founders are all International Moutain Leader (IML) with an international UIMLA license. All of UIMLA’s education was done abroad. The translation of the name IML into Slovene is the mednarodni planinski vodnik with the UIMLA license. The association was established in Slovenia with the intention of bringing the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA) into the Slovenian territory. Slovenia is not yet a member of the UIMLA international umbrella organization, which, in addition to IFMGA, has the sole responsibility for issuing professional licenses that are valid in Europe and most countries of the world. The founding assembly was also attended by the mayor of Mojstrana and President of the Association of Mountain Guides of Slovenia Mitja Šorn. Both participants welcomed the establishment of the association and expressed their support for the continuation of the Association of Mountain Guides of Slovenia.
